The Coop Companion started in a suburban backyard with three hens, a leaky waterer, and a lot of mistakes. We have since raised dozens of birds through molt, mites, brutal winters, and the occasional fox, and we write down what we learn so you can skip the hard lessons.
We are not a hatchery and we do not sell birds. We are keepers writing for keepers, which means we tell you when an expensive gadget is worth it and when a five-dollar fix does the job better.
